What to Expect

Identity & Purpose

The Crossroads Church Youth Group is designed around two fundamental questions: “Who am I?” (Identity) and “Why am I here?” (Purpose). On Tuesday nights, anyone from 6th-12th grade is invited to come and explore our identity as only God can define it. We focus on what it means to be beloved sons and daughters of God and how to live in community with other believers. We do this by learning how to hear God’s voice through Scripture, teaching, worship, and sharing in small groups. Knowing who we are in God’s kingdom is what allows us to uncover our unique purpose as the Body of Christ.

Monthly Events

Once a month, the youth gather for special events outside the normal meetings. The time, date, and nature of these events will change from month to month, ranging from casual (board game/movie nights) to more active (rock climbing, paintball, etc…). Intermixed with these will also be periodic “Walk by Faith” events.

All information regarding these events will be found in the Youth Monthly Newsletter, as well as on the church social media platforms.

Discipleship

10th-12th graders are invited to meet once a week on Wednesday nights to participate in a discipleship group focused on the same questions of identity and purpose, but with a much more in-depth lens. These evening are more conversational in nature and will be a place for our upperclassmen to have an open and honest conversation about what it means to be a Christ-follower in their own context.
